Fountaingrove Resort & Country Club is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Santa Rosa, California.
Fountaingrove Resort & Country Club first opened for play in 1985. The course was designed by Ted Robinson Sr.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,797 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,644 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 604 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 145 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 604 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 381 yard par-4.
The course is both beautiful and challenging. Fountaingrove sits is an oak filled valley with numerous elevation changes. Tee placements make golfers use their depth-perception and trust their feel. The greens are fairly large and extremely undulated to force golfers to constantly fear the three-putt. The fairways are sloping forcing golfers to test their skills from side-hill, up-hill, and down-hill lies.

Being a private course, I've always played as a guest of friends who are members. And every time I've played it, I have enjoyed teh experience. It's beautiful, well designed and well kept. If you get the opportunity to play fountaingrove, take it.
